Zumba & Chair Flow Instructor

Department: Programs & Fitness
Reports To: Director of Programs & Fitness
Salary Range: $15.00

Position Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Fitness Team. In this role, you will lead engaging group fitness classes that promote health, wellness, and community involvement. As an instructor, you will create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere while encouraging participants of all fitness levels.

Qualifications: 
Must be at least 18 years of age and have reliable transportation. Must possess current CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 90 days of employment. Current Zumba certification preferred. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Essential Job Functions:
     1. Lead safe, effective, and engaging classes for participants of carious fitness levels.
     2. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and modifications when necessary.
     3. Maintain a positive and motivating class environment.
     4. Arrive prepared with music, routines, and class structure.
     5. Monitor participants during class and respond appropriately to any concerns or                               emergencies.
     6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of fitness spaces and equipment.
     7. Communicate with participants and staff in a professional manner.
     8. Encourage participation and help build a strong fitness community.

Essential Job Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Previous group fitness instruction experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Needs the ability to see, hear, and move continuously during class. Must possess an audible voice for instruction and motivation. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stretching, and demonstrating exercises required. Must be able to lift light fitness equipment when necessary.
