Kids' Corner Attendant
Department: Facilities
Reports To: Senior Facility Coordinator
Salary Range: $9.00-14.00
Position Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Kids' Corner Team. In this role, you will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children. As a Kids' Corner Attendant, you will help facilitate a child's development through care and engagement.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age and have reliable transportation. Must possess current CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 90 days of employment. Must pass a criminal background check. Ability to work during various hors of operation and on some holidays.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Continuously monitoring children's safety and well-being during playtime or transitions.
2. Plan and execute age-appropriate learning activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
3. Assist with diaper changes, feeding, dressing, and hygiene routines.
4. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment.
5. Communicate with parents regarding the activities the child participated in in Kids' Corner, any concerns, etc.
6. Observe a child's behavior and document if necessary.
7. Foster positive interactions and conflict resolution skills among children. Redirect when necessary.
8. Interacting with the children and making them feel comforted, loved and cared for while in care.
Essential Job Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Some experience in childcare preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Needs to have the ability to see, hear, and move about. Must possess an audible voice for communication and ability to lift light equipment. Must be able to perform CPR and First Aid as needed. Frequent walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to bend and stoop to complete various tasks.
